Well this week your committee members met to update the programme and discuss a wide range of other topics to help push our growing Club forward

NEW BOAT AND KIT

You will be pleased to know that it was agreed to purchase 2 – 3 more boats to add to our fleet plus some additional kit. The boats will be up to date creeking boats probably aged 18mths- 2years old. The committee have worked super fast and for all those at this week’s pool session you will able to see the first of these newly acquired boats, a shiny red Dagger Nomad 8.5. A big thank you to Darren and Gary for collecting it from Nottingham.

Another new boat will follow as soon as we spot one that we like and a few new throw ropes and spray decks will also be purchased.

POOL SESSIONS

There are only FIVE Pool sessions left before the season finishes at the end of March, so don’t lose out …please book your places ASAP. Pool sessions cost £1300 to run for the season- which is a considerable amount of money. CAP does not make any money from these sessionsas we think they are vital part of the club’s annual program. It is essential however that they are well supported !

Please can you let us know as soon as possible if you can’t come to a pool session so that we can offer another member the chance and also help protect the club’s financial liability. Book your places NOW as there are only 5 weeks left to practice your skills and have fun in a nice warm pool.

GRANT APPLICATIONS

With the Croydon riots behind us and The Olympics year ahead of us, there are quite a few possibilities for us to apply for grant aid. The Committee are current evaluating the possibilities and are hopeful that we’ll then be successful with one or more applications Any grants could serve to further update our fleet and kit as well as enabling us to subsidies members participation in coaching and safety training courses. We’ll keep you informed of any progress !
